Conditions of Entry

By entering the event you agree to abide by these Conditions of Entry and any race instructions given to you by the organisers and officials of the 2019 Waterford AC Half Marathon.

The Waterford AC Half Marathon course is AAI certified. All participants must abide by the rules of these governing organisation.

Over 18: Participants must be 18 years of age or over on 7th December 2019.

For reasons of safety: Entries are not permissible from people on roller skates, pushchairs, wheelbarrows or carrying various objects.

Entry Fee: All entry fees, related tickets are non-refundable. Transfer of race entry to another runner can only be done through the registration system within the dates allowed.

No Animals: Animals will not be permitted with the exception of guide dogs; arrangements for guide dogs must be made with the organisers ahead of the event.

Medical Condition: It is strongly recommended that you train for the run and prepare for the challenge. All participants are strongly advised to consult their doctor prior to undertaking any exercise programme or running event. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure they are medically fit to participate in the event.

Headphones and road usage: This event takes place on open roads and therefore the rules of the road apply at all times unless directed otherwise by race officials. The use of headphones is strictly prohibited as this can impede your ability to hear instruction from marshals and guards. Offenders will not have their results published.

Course cut off: The course will be marshaled for 3 hours. After this time you will still be allowed finish the race but must do so without the assistance of marshals.

Timing: This event is chip timed. Failure to wear your chip correctly will result in you not appearing in the results.

Race Memento: Only finishers will receive a medal, hat and goody bag.

Use of Image: By entering the race you give permission for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event.

Event Cancellation or Change of Date: The event will only be cancelled, postponed or the date changed due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. In such an eventuality all participants will be notified by email as soon as possible. The organisers shall not be liable in respect of any entry fees, costs and expenses you may incur as a result of such cancellation or postponement.

Collection & Use of Information: I acknowledge and agree that my personal information can be stored and used by the Organiser in connection with the organisation and administration of the Event and for the compilation of statistical information. Some details will be shared with our timing partners Total Timing Ltd to facilitate the postage of race packs and the production of results.

Race Numbers: For safety reasons and primarily for identification by medical staff, the swapping, sale, resale or transfer of race numbers is strictly prohibited outside of the official process outlined on www.waterfordachalf.com. Participants must complete their details and sign the back of their race number prior to the event.

Race Ejection: The organisers reserve the right to refuse an entrant attendance at or participation in the event.

We strive to organise safe and enjoyable running events and hope that you will help us in achieving this. Any participant who is found in breach of these terms and conditions will be excluded from future events. Please do not put someone else at risk.

Entry Details: Participants must ensure they provide correct details at the point of entry (name, age, running club, email address, mobile number) and inform organisers in advance of the race of any changes as this information will be used when producing race results.

Change of Address: If your address details change after you have submitted your application you must notify the organisers by email info@waterfordachalf.com.
